Marianne J. Post, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023. Services: 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, where a visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. until service time. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Survivors include her son, Jeff; her daughter, Jamie (Chris) Dake; her grandson, Zachary Dake; granddaughter, Allison Dake; and great-granddaughter, Aspen Dake.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Post; her sister, Carol Floyd; and brother-in-law, Clark Floyd.
Marianne was born on April 22, 1931, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and a graduate of Marion High School. Shortly thereafter, Marianne started her career at the Cedar Rapids Gazette as a sales representative. Her career culminated with her retirement in 1995. She married David Post on July 10, 1954, in Marion, Iowa. She always thought of others before herself. Marianne loved playing Bingo, shopping and eating out at her favorite place, Culvers. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fieldstone of DeWitt in memory of Marianne.
