Elizabeth “Liz” A. Tegtmeier, 20, of Cedar Rapids passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2023, at the Moose Lodge, 1820 W. Post Road SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Liz was born on May 18, 2002, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Jeremy Moser and Joanna (Bell) Gallo. She graduated from Linn-Mar High School and attended Clarke University. Liz was united in marriage to Seth Tegtmeier on Aug. 20, 2022, at Backbone State Park. She worked for The Arc of East Central Iowa and the Cedar Rapids Bowling Center. Liz liked to spend money on her cats and family. She liked shopping at Target and going to Starbucks. Liz enjoyed bowling. She loved watching Grey’s Anatomy and Friends. Liz was very thoughtful and always thought of others first.
Survivors include her husband Seth of Cedar Rapids, mother Joanna Gallo of Cedar Rapids, father Jeremy (Teresa Plain) Moser of Marion, brothers Josh (Elizabeth) Moser of Cedar Rapids and Randall (Brittni) Sheriff of Cedar Rapids, grandmother Beth Herrick of Cedar Rapids, parents-in-law Dan Tegtmeier and Tori Lee, and her three cats Elma, Bistro and Benzi.
Preceding her in death were her stepfather John Gallo and grandparents Ron Herrick and Jeffrey and Aileen Moser.
