Carol A. Walsh, 83, of Fillmore, Iowa, passed away from multiple myeloma at home in Coralville, Iowa, with her family by her side on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2023.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd., Dubuque, Iowa, where a wake service will be at 2:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Sacred Heart Fillmore, with Fr. Mark Osterhaus officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery in Dubuque. A livestream of the funeral Mass will be on the funeral home Facebook page.

Carol was born Sept. 30, 1939, in Dubuque, Iowa, only child of Louis F. and Stella R. (Nachtman) Welter.
Carol is survived by her husband, Patrick; their four children, Susan of Iowa City, Steve of Des Moines, Janet of Seattle, Wash., and James of Boston, Mass.; grandchildren, Jonathon (Suzanne Pichoff) McFall of Des Moines and Marcus McFall (Michael McDonough, partner) of Seattle, Wash.; and one great-grandchild on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, John Louis and Ann E. (Knepper) Walsh; daughter-in-law, Renee Walsh; and sisters-in-law, Genevieve Nemmers and Jean Bartels.
