Patricia “Pat” Barbara Prybil, 104, died peacefully Monday, Jan. 30, 2023.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at St. Mary’s Church - Holy Family Parish in Riverside. Father William Roush will officiate. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Church. The Rosary will be recited at 3:30 p.m. Burial will be at Mt. Oliver Cemetery. In lieu of flowers , memorials may be directed to St. Mary’s Church for the organ restoration or to the Riverside First Responders, both in care of People’s Bank in Riverside.
Pat was born Jan. 7, 1919, in Oxford, Iowa, the daughter of Wesley and Anna (Svoboda) Erusha. She was a 1935 graduate of Oxford High School. Pat received her teaching certificate from the Iowa State Teacher’s College. In 1939 Pat married Carl Prybil.
Pat and Carl moved to Riverside in 1959 where they farmed together. Pat milked dairy cows for over 40 years. She was an avid gardener, loved her flowers, and enjoyed time spent playing cards each month with her lady friends. Pat was a member of St. Mary’s Church where she sang in the Church choir for many years. Most important to Pat was her family.
Pat is survived by three sons, Don, Tom (Pat), and Steve (Kerry); daughter-in-law, Jean Prybil; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; extended family and many friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sons, Jerry, Carl, and Jim; her granddaughter, Colette; and her sister, Vivian (Bob) Miller.
