Carol Brammer Tague passed away peacefully surrounded with love at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids on Jan. 11, 2023. She was born Aug. 15, 1952, in Stoneham, Mass.
Carol moved out to Iowa in 1992 to earn her degree in pharmacology at the University of Iowa. She spent the remainder of her working career working at Mercy Medical Center until her well earned retirement. She often spoke of her supportive co-workers and how much she enjoyed her career. Carol was an avid crafter and was always willing to try a DIY project! She enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking and spoiling her dogs in her free time.
She is survived by her mother, Edith; siblings, Jim Brammer (Sandy), Kenny Brammer (Donna) and Donna Phelan (Tom); her children, Robyn Jolicoeur (David) and Deb Dunshee; and grandchildren, Ryan Jolicoeur, Kelly Jones (Will), Ashley Jolicoeur, Dakota Tague and Paige Jolicoeur. She has always had a piece of her heart with her extensive family in Massachusetts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harmon “Gene” Brammer.
A Celebration of Life for the family will be taking place at a later point in time near Stoneham, Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials can go to the Cedar Valley Humane Society. Carol often spoke of how becoming an animal lover had changed her life.
Her family appreciates the excellent care she received from the staff at the Hall Perrine Cancer Center and the staff on the Mercy Intensive Care Unit.
