Claude E. Oler, 91, passed away Jan. 15, 2023. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until time of funeral service, 2:30 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Interment will follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Claude is survived by his sons, Terry (Ruth) Oler and Randy (Dixie) Oler; grandchildren, Benjamin Oler, Robert Oler, Chase (Jessica) Oler, Curtis (Amber) Marolf, Tina (Jake) Farmer, Richard (Tina) Pierce, Robert Pierce, Roy (Desiree) Pierce and other grandchildren; great-grandchildren, Everlyn Oler, Lily Marolf, Madison Marolf, Abbigail Farmer, Zakkary Farmer, and other great-grandchildren; and siblings, Charlene Thurston, Keith Oler, Kenny Oler and Virginia Stout. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Beverly; and parents, Robert and Loretta Oler.
Claude farmed in rural Lisbon his entire life. He was a generous man; he would help anyone. Claude enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing cards. Before Beverly passed away, dancing and casino trips were favorite pastimes.
