Carolyn Faye Evans, 82, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Carolyn Evans was born April 6, 1940, in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Ethan A. and Lucille O. (Burgin) Evans.
She was united in marriage to Stephen L. Bausch in 1958. They began farming in Louisa county, Iowa, and later Washington County. Carolyn raised four children who survive her: Michelle Lapham (Ryan), Mark Bausch, Julia Finley (Tracy) and John Bausch.
In her retirement years Carolyn resided in Iowa City. She enjoyed reading, sewing, needlework and crossword puzzles. She enjoyed family visits and conversation with family and neighbors.
In addition to her children, Carolyn is survived by grandchildren Alicia Hannink, James Hannink, Miranda Finley, Emily Bausch and Chloe Bausch; and her brother Gene Evans (Leatha).
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stephen and brother Allen Evans.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
