Beverly Ann Wirt, 78, of Robins, Iowa, died peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 2, 2023. Keeping with her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and burial will take place alongside her husband, Gary Wirt.
Beverly was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on May 14, 1944, to John Asa and Gwendolyn Stoltenberg. She married Larry Phillip Wilson, who passed, and later married Gary Louis Wirt on Dec. 22, 1994. The couple shared a beautiful home in Davenport, Iowa, where the couple took great pride in taking care of their home. Beverly’s career included working at Wilson’s Meat Packing Company for many years, a Girl Scouts Field Director in Center Point, and even owning a successful bridal business. She loved working for the Girl Scouts and took pride in being a part of helping young girls experience new things. She later took a position in the Blood Center. The vast part of her career was spent working in various roles for JCPenney in Davenport where she retired. After Gary’s passing in January of 2020, Beverly moved to Robins, Iowa, with her daughter Melissa Chambers and son-in-law Travis Chambers.
She was a strong and determined woman that could accomplish anything she put her mind to.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Travis) Chambers of Robins, Iowa; step-=children, Carl (Susan) Wirt of Davenport, Iowa, and Anthea (Jason) Chester of Parker, S.D.; grandchildren, Ashley Wilson, Christina Pinger, Jessica Pinger, Seth Jackson, Zachary Wirt, Justin Wirt, Seth Jackson, Caleb Evans, and Dylan Chester; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings, Marilyn (Randy) Miller, Patricia Cox, and John “Jack” Mason; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Phyllis Cornwell, Mary Jo Woolman, and Gerald R. Mason.
