Linda Linnell (King) Fritz, 74, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Spring Grove Cemetery, Covington, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 2272 at 1735 11th St. NW, Cedar Rapids, IA 52405, Cedar Rapids, following burial on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2023.
Linda was born May 25, 1948, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Charles and Myrle (Andre) King. She graduated from Washington High School. Linda was united in marriage to Martin Lee Fritz on March 17, 1973, in Missouri. She worked in housekeeping at St. Luke’s Hospital and retired in 2019. Linda enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, camping and playing cards. Her greatest joys were her family and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter, Dana (Swallom) Blauer; son-in-law, Scott Blauer of Cedar Rapids; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Betty, Richard and Gwen; husband, Martin; and son, Scott Swallom.
