Marilyn Helen Hekel, 65, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Shellsburg, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, at Mercy Medical Center. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Jane. 5, 2023, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2023, at Brosh Chapel. Private family inurnment will be held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, at a later date.
