Marie Kuhn, 81, of Hiawatha, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at her home. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral Mass: 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Hiawatha. Private burial will take place at a later date at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Walker, Iowa.

Marie was born Jan. 18, 1941, in Walker, Iowa, the daughter of Leland and Matilda (Bednar) Berry. She graduated from Walker High School. On Aug. 4, 1959, Marie was united in marriage to Russell Kuhn at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Walker. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.

Marie was a thoughtful and caring person who never missed a milestone with a card. She loved gifting snowman ornaments to her family and taking trips to the casino. She had a laser sharp memory with an eye for detail. Marie had a fantastic sense of humor and always a contagious laugh. Her greatest glory in life was being a loving wife and a dedicated mother. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Marie will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Russell Kuhn; children, Deb (Carl) Kelley, Shelley Cummins, Vicki Henry and DeAnne Sickles; grandchildren, Katelyn, Brittany, Sarah, Courtney, Kayla, Jordan, Jessica, Jacob and Joseph; great-grandchildren, Zayne, Millie, Colton, Kayden, Kaleb and Jackson; and siblings, Wilma (Floyd) Heck and Alice Holub.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Donald Berry and Anna Mae Michael.
