Delores Ann (Ayers) Dumond Hobson, 81, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, Iowa.
Delores was born June 17, 1941, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Darold and Nellie (Payton) Ayers. She worked as a custodian at Linn-Mar Schools for many years. Delores loved spending time with her grandchildren, her trip to Rome and trips to Red Lobster.
Delores is survived by her children, Peggy (Denis) McAllister, Joaney (Steve) Railsback and Joseph (Lisa) Dumond; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford (Cheryl) Ayers, and Douglas Ayers; sister, Darlene Eiler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; grandson, Douglas; granddaughter, Sabrina; two sisters, Geraldine and Angeline; and brother, Darold.
