Barbara Ringo, 75, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. No services are planned at this time.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 23 years, Shane; children, Dan (Sharon), Bill, Scott and Heather; grandchildren, Matthew, Jordan, Zach and Oliver; along with two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Margo (George). We also can’t forget her beloved dog, Nyla Rose.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Charlene and Ed Casey; and her brother, John.
Barbara was born July 17, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to John and Charlene McCune. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High. She worked at Wilson’s Packing Plant where she met Ed Casey, who later married Charlene “Chick.” Barbara met Shane Ringo and they married July 3, 1999. Barbara loved to bake and to be outside. If you couldn’t find her on the back porch, she was at the casino. She enjoyed fishing with Shane and floating in the pool. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House.
