Erma Ann Andrews, 92, of Central City, Iowa, passed away peacefully from complications of Alzheimer’s disease on Monday, Dec. 12, 2022. A private memorial for Irma will be planned for family at a future date.

Erma was born on Jan. 24, 1930, in Amana, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Anna Votroubek; brother, Leonard Votroubek; and her husband of 61 years, George Lewis Andrews.

Erma loved the outdoors and was an avid gardener. She taught her children to value nature. Erma’s greatest joy was to take care of others. She was a wonderful mother, who will be remembered in love by her daughter, Diana (Jimmie) Cook of North Richland Hills, Texas; sons, Alan (Susan) Andrews of Center Point, Iowa, and Neil (Vicky) Andrews of Fort Worth, Texas; as well as grandchildren, Chace (Megan) Kisling of San Antonio, Texas, Sarah (Robert) Dunn III of Walker, Iowa, Jason (Emily) Andrews of Center Point, Aaron Andrews of Central City and Candice Andrews of Drake, Colo. She was blessed with eight great-grandchildren, Brayden, Peyton, Wyatt, Robert, Avanti, Caleb, Carter, Saren and Silas. She will also be remembered by her niece, Abbie (Tim) Clark of Tucson, Ariz.; nephews, John (Maryann) Andrews of Bremerton, Wash., and Leland (Denise) Votroubek of Cedar Rapids.

Erma will be missed every day and remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her forever.
