Gerita Glade, 62, of Marion, Iowa, passed away at the Northbrook Manor Nursing Home on Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom. A funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, Dec. 17, at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Interment to follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Garden of Eternal Love. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022. Details to follow.

Gerita was born on Dec.21, 1959, in Manchester, Iowa. She was the daughter of the late Carl and Berniece (Crowley) Tritle. On Sept. 8, 1979, she married the love of her life, Jacob Glade. She was a para-educator for over 20 years in the Marion School District. She worked as an assistant manager with Hy-Vee for 10-plus years. Gerita enjoyed puzzles, Disney and being a Foster Parent. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish Gerita’s memory are her husband, Jacob of Marion, Iowa; her children, Jacob (Leah) Glade III, Jeremy Glade, Jamie Glade and James Glade, all of Marion, Iowa; her grandchildren, Kai, Zavier, Mikayla, Michael, Averie and Willow; her siblings, Brian Tritle of Stone City, Iowa, and Jamae (Glen) Remington of Marion, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Bob, Barry and Bambi Tritle.
