Randal “Randy” Wayne Morrison, 66, of Alburnett, Iowa, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on the evening of Dec. 7, 2022. In agreement with his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. A celebration of Randy’s life will be held at a later date.
Randy was born Nov. 5, 1956, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Donovan and Barbara (Dunlap) Morrison. Randy met his high school sweetheart, best friend and wife, Robin Reed, whom he loved, cherished and had by his side for 49 years. His most proud accomplishment in life was raising their five children together. Randy held a life of adventure and business expeditions from early on. He had a love for fishing and outdoor life that led to owning Rainy Lake Lodge in International Falls, Minn. He had a lifelong devotion to his business, Morrison Trucking for 47 years, that now employs more than 30 people.
Randy is survived by his wife, Robin; five children, Brandy, Benjamin (Tammi), Robby, Ross (Rebecca) and Logan (Tony); seven grandchildren, Mikaela, Lucy, Weston, Cashton, Laityn, Sawyer and Lillian; his dogs, “Oaklee” and “Millie”; mother, Barbara (Don) Matheny; siblings, Curt (Cathy) Morrison, Suzanne (Davey) Fisher, Denise (Carey) McNeme and Craig (Monica) Morrison; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his father, Donovan Morrison; and one nephew.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Randy’s name may be directed to the family to be designated later.
