Dr. Richard (Rick) Earl VanScoy, 66, of Iowa City, former teacher and coach in schools in central Iowa died Nov. 22, 2022, in Iowa City, surrounded by his family, while “Amazing Grace” played softly.
Celebration of Life services will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at the Gay & Ciha Funeral Home in Iowa City. We will have a speaker at 5 p.m., then a time for open sharing.
