Methel R. Daniel, 84, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022. No funeral services will be held at this time. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
Methel was born July 9, 1938, in Franklin County, Ala., the daughter of Willard and Elizabeth (King) Martin. She was united in marriage to Johnnie Calvin Daniel on Oct. 22, 1956, in Tisamingo County, Miss. Methel worked in housekeeping at Mercy Hospital for over 20 years until her retirement in 1998. She enjoyed going to church and was a member of the Apostolic Assembly of Anamosa. Above all else, Methel loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sons, Ronald (Brenda) Daniel and Mark (Tracy) Daniel; and many grandkids, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Elizabeth Martin; husband, Johnnie in 1999; and daughters, Debra Knight and Sandra Daniel.
