Benton County fatal crash victim identified

The Benton County Sheriff's Office has identified the Shellsburg man killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday morning.
The man has been identified as 34-year-old Christopher Lee Benesh.
Police said Benesh was southbound on 32nd Avenue south of Shellsburg at 6:30 a.m. Monday when he left the roadway on a curve and hit an embankment. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff's office.
