Sonja A. Warren, 80, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In agreement with her wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Inurnment will take place at Linwood Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Sonja was born on Dec. 22, 1941, in Eau Claire, Wis., the daughter of Bill and Inez (Hayes) Klungseth. On Aug. 24, 1988, she was united in marriage to David J. Warren in Colorado. Sonja worked for DSW Shoes in Colorado and for nine years at Target stores. She was a big Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Sonja enjoyed fishing, trips to the casino, and playing scratch lottery tickets. She will
be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sonja is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, David of Marion; their children, Derrick (Sherri) of Solon, Iowa, Je Rita (Bradley) of Anamosa, Iowa, Jeffrey of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Travis (Connie) of Cedar Rapids; 17 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Wayne (Barb) of Minnesota, Ronald of Wisconsin, Dale (Paula) of Colorado, Leilah (Doug) of Marion, Jerry (Lorri) of Illinois, and Rita of Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Barbara.
