Jerold “Jerry” Hernden, 68, joined the eternal life while being surrounded by his beloved family and friends. He devoted his life to his family, friends and of course Quaker Oaks for over 30 years. When he was not with them or working, he was likely on the water, casting away for the next big catch and making another story to share. He loved nature and its beauty. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsmen.
He is survived by his wife, Dana Kleppe Hernden; his beloved children, Laura (Phillip Jr.) Perry, Jerame Pointer, Alibbia (Justin) Lathrop, Velera (Beef) Meyer, Sierra (Rochelle) Charnowski, Courtney (David) Vifian, and David Kleppe.
He loved his 29 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, as well as many others whom he was a dad to.
He was preceded in death by his father, James; his brother, Beau; his daughter, Vicky Pointer; and his special friend, Leeanna Hernden.
A GoFundMe has been established in his name to help with expenses and celebration planning.
Per his wish, a celebration will be held in his honor Spring 2023 by the water, so the casting will continue on in his memory.
