Roundabouts in CR waiting for accidents

Recently the city added a roundabout at the corner of Ellis Blvd and E Ave NW. I am here to say that this is a dangerous roundabout and just waiting for numerous accidents.
The circle is extremely wide in circumference and yet it has the most narrow of roadway surrounding it. The roadway is barely wide enough for a car and I have watched trucks maneuver around it with great difficulty. I have even seen some trucks drive directly across the traffic circle rather than chance the narrow roadway.
Heading westbound on E Ave around the circle vehicles come close to a store front of a recently opened grocery store. If a vehicle were to take this portion at too high of a speed the vehicle could easily find itself plowing through a store front window.
Why it that there seems to be more roundabouts on the westside of town?
