No longer a Democrat

I believe that the family farm belongs to the family. As children grow they help with chores and run equipment. I know of a family who ran their planter 24 hours around the clock. The father and the three sons each took shifts. It’s the family who work the land, not the politicians. Therefore am I conservative.
I believe that we citizens should be safe from outside threats. Law abiding people are more than welcome while thugs, drug cartel and terrorists should be completely barred. We have a right to feel safe. Therefore am I conservative.
I believe that families have a right to send their children to the school of their choice without being penalized or pleading for open enrollment. Much of our taxes go to education and parents should be able to take their tax and send it to the school of their choice, not to the one that politicians dictate. Therefore am I conservative.
I believe we have the right to invest our Social Security money where we choose. The annual rate of return in the market out paces that in Social Security, which doesn’t even keep up with inflation. Politicians shouldn’t dictate. Therefore am I conservative.
I want less government control over me, not more. Therefore am I no longer a Democrat.
