Roger L. Gager, 74, of Center Point, Iowa, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Walker, Iowa. Burial: Sacred Heart Cemetery, Walker.
Roger was born April 4, 1948, in McGregor, Iowa, the son of Robert and Maudie (Schiff) Gager. He graduated from Center Point High School, Class of 1966. Roger farmed with his parents and later co-owned S&S Janitorial Service in Cedar Rapids. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus 12131 John Paul II in Center Point. Roger enjoyed going to church, gardening, and cooking for family gatherings.
Survivors include his siblings, Roberta (Malcolm) Meader of Urbana, Iowa, Randy Gager (Andria Youker), Doug (Nancy) Klima, all of Center Point, Kathy Raue of Walker, Kevin (Gwen) Klima of Center Point, Pam (Bill) Anderson of Vinton, Iowa, Tammy (Dan) Linnabery of Atkins, Iowa, and Danny Klima of Urbana; sister-in-law, Marica Gager of Walker; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Gager and Mike and Maudie Klima; brother, Rolly Gager; and nephew, Bradley Comried.
