Final College Football Playoff rankings: Oklahoma takes No. 4 spot

No. 1 Alabama will meet No. 4 Oklahoma and No. 2 Clemson will face No. 3 Notre Dame in the College Football Playoff, announced Sunday afternoon.
Big 12 champion Oklahoma (12-1), edged out No. 5 Georgia (11-2) and No. 6 Ohio State (12-1) for the final spot in the playoff.
Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame all finished their regular seasons undefeated. Alabama (SEC) and Clemson (ACC) won their conference championships.
Alabama and Oklahoma will play in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 29. Also that day, Clemson and Notre Dame will meet in the Cotton Bowl.
The national championship game is scheduled for Jan. 7 in Santa Clara, Calif.
Iowa State (8-4) finished the regular season at No. 24 in the CFP rankings, falling one spot after edging Drake 27-24 Saturday. Other Big 12 teams in the top 25 are No. 15 Texas (9-4) and No. 16 West Virginia (8-3).
After Ohio State in the Big Ten, Michigan (10-2) is No. 7, Penn State (9-3) is No. 12 and West Division champion Northwestern (8-5) is No. 22.
