Gary E. Aldrich, 79, of Iowa City, passed away Sept. 27, 2022, at Lantern Park Specialty Care in Coralville.
Gary deeded his body to the University of Iowa Deeded Body Program.
Burial will be at a later date in Oakland Cemetery in Iowa City. No services are planned at this time. Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service is handling arrangements.
Born Jan. 25, 1943, in North English, Iowa, the son of Marvin and Luella (McArtor) Aldrich, Gary grew up in North English and graduated from English Valley High School in 1961. Moving to Iowa City in 2005, he worked as a laborer at different locales and most recently was employed with Manpower.
He is survived by his brother, Darrell Aldrich (Lisette) of Fond du Lac, Wis.; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Sondra Aldrich of North English.
His parents; two sisters, Patty Aldrich and Myma Heitshusen; a brother, Lynn Aldrich; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Heitshusen, preceded him in death.
