Mary Lou Stigers, 73, of Iowa City, died on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City with a graveside committal service following at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Iowa City. Family invites guests to join them for a luncheon following the burial at the VFW, 609 Hollywood Blvd., Iowa City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Stigers family in care of Dorothy Deahr.
Mary was survived by her siblings, Dorothy Deahr, Diana Wright, George, Jerry and Earl Long and spouses; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Jackson Stigers, in 2021.
