Joensy’s Restaurant in Center Point closing soon

Oct. 4, 2022 5:30 am
CENTER POINT — Joensy’s Restaurant in Center Point announced on social media plans to close Oct. 15.
The Franklin Street restaurant, which bills its pork tenderloins as “Iowa’s biggest and best,” announced Sept. 23 that it was on the market.
“We have not given up totally on finding someone to step in and take it on,” the owners said on social media. “It’ll be a great loss for the community and surrounding area.”
An equipment auction will follow closure. For inquiries, contact joensyscenterpoint@gmail.com.
”The main part for our decision was that my husband has a lung disease, and it’s on the mend,” Klouda told KCRG. “We want to keep it that way, and the oils are pretty detrimental here at the restaurant for it.”
The closure will not affect the independent Joensy’s locations in Cedar Rapids and Iowa City.
