Judith A. Butterbaugh, 82, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022, at Terrace Glen Assisted Living in Marion. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family. A private family service will be held at a later date.
Judith was born on March 21, 1940, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Bertelli) Williams. On Dec. 17, 1960, Judith was united in marriage to Donald J. Butterbaugh in Fairfield, Iowa. She was a teacher for Clear-Creek Community School District, Huron College, Financial Department of Presentation College in Aberdeen, S.D., Central High School in Aberdeen, S.D., and Northeast Iowa Technical Institute, and a consultant for Technology in Education in Rapid City, S.D., until her retirement in 2003. Judith will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Judith is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband of 61 years, Donald Butterbaugh of Marion; daughter, Jennifer (Richard) Lorenz of Marion; son, Scott (Lori) Butterbaugh of Fort Worth, Texas; and grandchildren, Travis and Brooke Lorenz, and Drew and Nicole Butterbaugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Don and Robert Williams.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her name.
