Judith Nelson Snyder, 83, passed away peacefully at Pioneer Park in Lone Tree, Iowa, on Sept. 25, 2022.
A memorial gathering will be held Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Lensing Funeral and Cremation Service, 605 Kirkwood Ave., Iowa City.
Judith was born on Sept. 25, 1939, in Burlington, Iowa. She worked at The University of Iowa, retiring after 25 years. She enjoyed traveling, country music and her very special “Breakfast Club” with girl friends from childhood.
She is survived by her children, Terry (Bonny) Lehman of Iowa City, Rita Vickroy of Georgia and Robin (Gene) Russell of Coralville; son-in-law, Chris Von Lienen of North Liberty; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Stephanie Von Lienen; grandson, Chase Von Lienen; and sister, Barb Hook.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Lone Tree Health Center and Avalon Hospice for the love and care given to Judith.
