Rodger Dean Marshall was born on May 16, 1932, and died peacefully in Iowa City, Iowa, on Sept. 17, 2022, at the age of 90. Rodger married the love of his life, Janet Bateman, on Feb. 7, 1960, and they had 62 happy years together.
They were the proud parents of four children, Lynette Marshall (Jeffery Ford) of Iowa City, Toby Marshall (Kimberly) of Lafayette, Ill., Douglas Marshall (Elaine) of Albuquerque, N.M., and Kelly Marshall of Chase, Mich. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Ruth Marshall; and his siblings Howard and Martha.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the LaPrairie United Presbyterian Church, 701 CR 400 E, Sparland, Ill. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will immediately follow the funeral and a light meal will be provided for all who wish to join after the burial.
