Doris Elaine Hatcher, 90, passed away peacefully of natural causes at her beloved home in Stone City on Sept. 15, 2022.
Doris is survived by her husband of 72 years, Robert Hatcher; her children, Brad Hatcher of Stone City and Christine (Dale) Crosby of Cedar Rapids, son-in-law, Mitch Finn; daughters-in-law, Jill Armstrong and Jan Wilson; sister, Shirley LaBarge; sisters-in-law. Dixie Stinger, Sally Hurt, Joanne Jenneman, Katy Henkel (Bud), Ruthe Hatcher, Cecilia Hatcher and Kay Hatcher; grandchildren, Benjamin Crosby, Samuel Crosby, Tom Finn, Clancy Bergmann, Anne Largaespada, Adam Finn, Sarah Wilson-Hatcher and Kasie Wilson; along with many adored great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Doris was preceded in death by her children, Mike, Dennis, Jeff and Joyce; parents, Francis and Edith Stinger; father- and mother in-law, Ralph and Melvina Hatcher; brother, Howard Stinger; daughter-in-law, Sandy Hatcher; and in-laws; Robert LaBarge, Rodney and Florence Hatcher, Jerry and Jo Hatcher, Jon Hatcher, Paul Hatcher, Keith Hatcher and Diane and Galen Hanna.
A memorial service for Doris will be held at the Linn Grove Presbyterian Church, 2000 Linn Grove Road, Mount Vernon, Iowa, at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 7.
