Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Wagner, 93, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022. Per Elizabeth’s request, no services will be held.
She was born on Aug. 15, 1929, in South Amana, Iowa, to Carl and Minna (Newkirk) Maas. Betty married Dean Allen Wagner on July 26, 1952, in Homestead. They lived together in Cedar Rapids, Marion and Cottage Grove Place. She spent 34 years proudly serving the community as a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Surviving are her children, Mark Wagner of Plymouth, Minn., and Megan (Thomas) Wuest of Eugene, Ore.; grandchildren, Erin (Adam) Faeth, Laura Roberson, Veronika Wuest and Samuel Wuest; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
Memorial donations in Betty’s honor may be made to St. Luke’s Hospital Auxiliary.
