Jason Jon Hanson, 44, of Monticello, Iowa, passed away on Aug. 27, 2022.
Jason was born Oct. 20, 1977, in Merrill, Wis. He moved to Cedar Rapids in 1995 with his family.
Jason was employed by Hupp Electric for the past 23 years. Jason enjoyed taking pictures, reading books, computer programming and playing darts, but most of all he enjoyed being a father to Ms. Maizie Hanson. She was the light of his world. They enjoyed reading books together and going on walks. He loved for her to play darts with him.
Survivors include his mother, Cindy Hanson of Cedar Rapids; father, Donald (Dana) Hanson of Cedar Rapids; sister, Molly (John) Glackin of Cedar Rapids; half-brother, Aijay Hanson of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Maizie Hanson of Monticello; stepdaughter, Jessica Hodges of Villa Rica, Ga.; and stepson, David Vice of Bremen, Ga.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Kylie Hanson; brother, Mathew Hanson; grandparents, Mary and William Gustin and Ervin and Lorraine Hanson; and son, Jake Jon Hanson.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
