Cedar Rapids man dies after vehicle hits tree

CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man died Tuesday night after driving off the road just north of the Edgewood Road Bridge and hitting a tree.

Cedar Rapids police said Scott Devore, 66, was the driver and only occupant of the vehicle in the 7:36 p.m. crash.

The southbound lanes of the bridge were closed until 12:15 a.m.
