Cedar Rapids man accused of involuntary manslaughter in fatal shooting

CEDAR RAPIDS — A Cedar Rapids man was arrested Monday in connection with an April 25 fatal shooting in southwest Cedar Rapids.
Marlon Jackson, 43, faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, possession of a firearm as a felon, giving false information when applying for a permit to acquire a firearm, giving false information when acquiring a firearm, reckless use of a firearm and use of a dangerous weapon in the commission of a crime.
Jackson is charged in connection in the shooting of Dustin Frondle, 36, of Cedar Rapids, who was killed around 3 a.m. April 25 near 12th Avenue and Auburn Drive SW.
Jackson is scheduled to make his first appearance in Linn County District Court on Tuesday.
