Michael Behnke, 69, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2022, at the Silver Oak Nursing Center, Marion, following an extended illness.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, where friends may call after 9 a.m. Interment will be in the Riverside Cemetery. Surviving are three children, Michael Jr., James (Alysia) and Jennifer (Derek); nine grandchildren; and his siblings, Sheri (Ted) Hess and David Behnke.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Carol and Cinda; and his brother, Terry.
Michael John Behnke was born Aug. 30, 1953, at Monticello, Iowa. He was the son Wilbur and Jean Evans, Behnke. He graduated from the Anamosa Community Schools in 1972. Mike was a CNA in Anamosa and Cedar Rapids. Later in life, he lived in Pahrump before retuning to Iowa in 2015. Michael enjoyed going fishing in his spare time.
