Brian Eldon Raymond Fowler, 60, of Viola, Iowa, passed away after a battle with cancer on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at his home. In agreement with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will greet friends and family from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2022, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa, where a memorial service will follow at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon and celebration of Brian’s life will follow at the American Legion Post #331 located at 252 Broadway Street in Springville, Iowa.
Brian was born on March 2, 1962, the son of Mati and Rae Jean Visnapuu. He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1983 to 1987. He was employed with Collins Aerospace for over 30 years. Brian was an avid hunter and motorcycle enthusiast who touched the lives of everyone he met. He will be loved and missed by many. To quote Brian, “Don’t shed tears for me. I have lived my life exactly how I wanted. I have no regrets.”
Brian is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife, Carmen Fowler of Viola; parents, Mati and Rae Jean Visnapuu of Springville; four siblings, Josh, Mike, Niki and Beth; his cousin, who he thought of as a sister, Robyn; his legal brother, Abraham; and close friends, Cletus and Carlene Reinhardt.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his sister, Ondrea.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Brian’s memory may be made to the Springville American Legion – Post 331.
