Cedar Rapids police investigating shots fired Wednesday night on I-380

CEDAR RAPIDS — The Cedar Rapids Police Department responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of Interstate 380 and H Avenue NE on Wednesday, just after 5 p.m.
Witnesses told investigators that a passenger in a bronze SUV traveling south on the interstate shot several times out of the window at another vehicle traveling in the same direction.
No injuries were reported.
Police believe the occupants of both vehicles knew each other and the shooting was not random.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
