Iowa linebacker Jack Campbell and cornerback Riley Moss earned spots on the Associated Press’ preseason All-America first team, the AP announced Monday.
Both Campbell and Moss have already received spots on Athlon Sports and Phil Steele’s preseason All-America first teams.
Campbell had 143 tackles in 2021 and is on the preseason watch lists for many national awards. He also is the preseason favorite among Big Ten football beat writers to win Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.
Moss is the reigning Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year despite missing three games with a knee injury.
The AP also had Iowa State edge rusher Will McDonald IV on its preseason All-America first team.
