Monticello
Carlyn G. Dotterweich, 91, of Monticello, Iowa, passed away Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, surrounded by family, at her home in Monticello, Iowa.
Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello, Iowa.
A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial to follow at the church cemetery. The Rev. Paul Baldwin will officiate.
Carlyn was born Aug. 18, 1931, in Cascade, Iowa, the daughter of Clarence and Marie (Polfer) Sadler. She married Andy Dotterweich on Nov. 22, 1950, in Fillmore.
Carlyn enjoyed Bingo, crocheting and spending time with her dog, Whutza. She babysat many kids in the Monticello area over many years.
Survivors include her children, JaneAnn Wilken of Texas, Robert (Lynn) Dotterweich of Monticello, Barb (Rick) Fagan of Onslow, Cindy (Kent) Behrends of Monticello, Susie (Gary) Fagan of Cascade, Lois (Gordon) Freeman of Robins and Ken (Dina) Dotterweich of Monticello; 31grandchildren; 66 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way; and two sisters, Inez (Leo) Kinsella and Joanne (George) Bergfeld.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy; an infant son, Paul; and several siblings and in-laws.
