Susan “Susie” A. Dunning, 61, a lifetime resident of Cedar Rapids, passed away Aug. 17, 2022, after a long illness surrounded by her loving family. Susie was born Nov. 3, 1960. She was the daughter of Richard L. Tharp and Georganne (Olin) Tharp. Susie graduated from Washington High School. She married Robert L. Dunning on June 2, 1979.
Susie loved crocheting, doing needle work with her Grandma Olin, gardening with her mom, spending time with her kids, grandkids and three cats.
Those left to remember Susie are her husband of 42 years, Robert L. Dunning; children, Katherine (Travis) Stolba and Josh Dunning; grandkids, Shawn Knapp, Cody Knapp, Baylee Stolba and Silas Dunning; mother, Georganne Tharp; and brother, John (Linda) Tharp.
Susie was preceded in death by her father Richard L. Tharp.
Our family would like to thank Mercy Hospice for their support and care.
