New chain bringing healthy fruit bowls to Cedar Rapids

Cedar Rapids — A California-based chain is bringing healthy bowls to Cedar Rapids with its first Iowa location.

Everbowl’s new location will be at 1100 Blairs Ferry Rd. NE, near Target and Buffalo Wild Wings. The location is part of a 10-store deal in Iowa, in partnership with private equity venture capital firm Sloan Capital.

The chain, which has already expanded to a number of states outside of the West Coast, also is in the process of opening 50 locations in Texas.

"And we are thrilled to help fulfill everbowl's quest to provide conscious eating options to any community that wants to fuel an active lifestyle. The stuff in an everbowl has been around forever and is loaded with natural goodness and nutrients."

Bowls can be built with a menu promoting high-fiber, antioxidants and vitamin-rich bowls and smoothies with fruits, matcha, nuts, non-dairy milks and butters, and natural sweeteners like agave and honey.

The new location is hiring to staff its new location. An opening date has not been announced.
