Edward J. Casey, 92, passed away at his home in Marion, Iowa, on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m. A graveside service will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Garden of Tranquility, on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 9 a.m. with the Certified Celebrant, Dr. James Coyle officiating.
Edward was born on Oct. 13, 1929, in Ryan, Iowa. After high school, Edward joined the Army. He married the love of his life, Charlene Harnack. He worked for many years at the Farmstead Foods Factory until his retirement. Edward was an avid fisherman and hunter, and he like to travel.
Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Barbara (Shane) Ringo of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Margo Nikodim of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Barry (Jackie) Hollan of Las Vegas, Nev., Dan (Sharon) Clark of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Bill Clark of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Steve (Julie) Hollan of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Scott M. Clark of Marion, Iowa, and Heather Clark of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He also is survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to a charity of one’s choice.
