She is fighting the storm
To hear the patter of rain
She wears the stars
And the winds from Mars
Watching the energy above her head
While the clouds began to spread
She waxes and wanes then suddenly fades
Losing her shape and form
A disoriented figure
All ripped and torn
No beauty left in her face
Her dress of a lightning lace
Storms break out
Anger boiling over
People ready to shout
Without a doubt
Becoming something she is not
Attracting clouds in a spiral
You could hear it for a mile
Thunder crackled through the sky
The bird wished it could fly
Through the deafening rain
The blinding pain
Yet when the storm ends
Nothing is there
