Linda Lou Milota, 85, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, July 2, 2022, at her home. Celebration of Life: 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2022, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood in Cedar Rapids.
Linda was born Sept. 21, 1936, in Panora, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and Elaine (Batschelet) Haltom. She graduated from Panora High School, Class of 1954. Linda was united in marriage to Leo Milota on May 5, 1962, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She worked for Killian’s, and then
as a nursing aide at Kingston Hill in Cedar Rapids until her retirement. Linda loved reading and traveling.
Survivors include her children, Tricia Milota and Dana McNeil, both of Cedar Rapids, and Andy Milota (Debra) of San Ramon, Calif.; grandchildren, Sarah Milota and Nicholas Milota; and best friend, Darlene Dawson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo “Butch” Milota; parents, Francis and Elaine Haltom; a daughter in infancy, Rhonda Milota; brother, Joe Haltom; and many in-laws.
