NCAA wrestling: Thursday's Iowa, Iowa State, UNI results and team scores

The NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships got started Thursday at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland.

Eight of Iowa's nine wrestlers won first-round matches and three advanced to the quarterfinals. Three of UNI's six qualifiers were victorious in the first session, though only Taylor Lujan won twice. Jarrett Degen, the lone Cyclone in the field, won his first match before falling in the round of 16.
