Lavonne Ann (Glandt) Danenhauer, 77, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at the Oldorf Hospice House, in Hiawatha, Iowa, surrounded by her loving family.
A visitation will be held at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories on Tuesday, July, 19, 2022, from 10 a.m. until service time at noon with Pastor Chad Johnson officiating. A livestream of the service will be available on the Cedar Memorial website under Lavonne’s obituary under the video tab, starting at noon on Tuesday, July 19, 2022. Inurnment to follow at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery-Garden of Tranquility.
Lavonne Ann ( Glandt) Danenhauer was born on Oct. 27, 1945, in Norfolk, Neb. She was the daughter of the late Darold and Myrtis (Hoffman) Glandt. On Jan. 30, 1970, Lavonne married Raymond Danenhauer in Park Ridge, Ill. She served as a nurse for over 30 years. She loved to garden, and was a longtime member of the New Covenant Bible Church. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish Lavonne’s memory are her two sons, Andrew A. (Christy Waters) Danenhauer of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Brian (Julie) Danenhauer of Urbandale, Iowa; her grandchildren, Cyler Smith, Daliah Levan, Addison Danenhauer and Evan Danenhauer; and her siblings, Roger Glandt, Lucille (Jerry) Smith and Susan Reed. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; her parents; and her siblings, Larry (Sherrill) Glandt, Ronald (JoAnn) Glandt and Barbara Glandt.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Oldorf Hospice House, The Perrine Cancer Center and Mercy Hospital, or to the Sisters of Mercy Convent at Mt. Mercy University.
The family wishes to thank the entire staff at the Perrine Cancer Center and the Oldorf Hospice House for all the love and care they showed Lavonne while she was in their care.
