Ida A. Dudak, 90, of Marion, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022, at Hiawatha Care Center. Graveside service with full military honors by the U.S. Air Force Honors Detail will be held, at Czech National Cemetery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Father Denny Juhl will officiate. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Marion is assisting the family.
Ida was born on Oct. 30, 1931, in Andalusia, Ala., the daughter of Morris and Estell (Davis) Aughtman. She was a 1950 graduate of Straughn High School in Covington County, Ala. She went on to serve honorably in the U.S. Air Force. In the service, Ida met and married Lou Dudak, they attended Bradley University together before moving to Cedar Rapids and raising five children. Ida was a self-employed accountant for 30 years and worked for Merchants National Bank for 10 years. Ida was a member of the Catholic Faith. She liked to play cards and enjoyed reading. Ida will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ida is survived and lovingly remembered by her four sons, Larry (Jane) Dudak of Knoxville, Tenn., Richard (Retha) Dudak of Springville, Iowa, Joseph (Shirley) Dudak of Crowley, Texas, and Charles (Nancy) Dudak of Hiawatha, Iowa; one daughter, Katherine Dudak of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and three brothers.
