Marjorie L. (Boll) Wethington, 88, of Tipton, Iowa, entered eternity on the morning of Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at her home.
On Saturday, July 16, 2022, there will be a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Tipton and a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Immediately following the graveside service, family and friends are invited back to St. Mary Hall for a luncheon and time of visitation.
In memory of Marge, two memorial funds have been established; Women of St. Mary and Bread of Life Food Pantry (at the Calvary Foursquare Church, Tipton). Memorials may be mailed to 1327 Hwy 130, Tipton, IA 52772. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com.
Marge, daughter of William D. and Elizabeth (Frisch) Boll was born on Saturday, Nov. 18, 1933, in Tipton, Iowa. She graduated with the Tipton High School Class of 1951.
On April 7, 1953, Marge married Russell H. Wethington at St. Mary Catholic Church in Tipton.
Marge lived her dream of being a farm wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was an active member of St. Mary’s Guild for 60 years. Serving others good food was her passion.
Marge is survived by daughters, Mary (John) Barnum of Tipton, Iowa, Theresa (Michael) Saunders of Tomah, Wis., Kathy (Danny) Laing of Tipton, Iowa, and Joan Wethington of Tipton, Iowa; son, Harry Wethington of Tipton, Iowa; grandchildren, Leslie (Jake) Klipsch, Randy (Megan) Laing, Mindy (Reggie) Kruse, Jason (Amy Corbett) Wethington, Sarah (Charlie) Thompson and Steven Wethington; and great-grandchildren, Oliver, Elihu and Sintayehu Klipsch; Ryder, Boden, Graeme and Gage Laing; Louie and Rudy Kruse; Gavin, Hailey and Makayla Wethington; Brayden Shulista; and Nora and Elliott Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell; parents, William and Elizabeth; sister, Mavis Strouble; and brother, Melvin Boll.
